RETREAT & CONFERENCE CENTER

Want to get pumped up with yoga? We’re not talking about “pumping up” like a weightlifter building muscles at the gym. Yoga pumps you up by increasing the flow of your blood, a vitally important kind of pumping indeed. Poor circulation and less oxygen delivered to your cells can cause more problems than just having cold hands and feet. Yoga oxygenates your cells thus improving your health.

It was born out of love, for the body, for the mind, and for the practice and teaching of yoga. But Fish Tree Yoga is more than just a place to train or practice yoga. Our spacious 10 acre facility can serve as a great retreat location or place for you to hold your next team conference. In fact, the Fish Tree Yoga Retreat Center might be the most unique yoga studio in the Southeast. The studio is located within just a few miles of the pristine white beaches of Perdido Key, Florida and Orange Beach, Alabama. The studio and grounds have been architecturally designed and built in the Japanese Tea House style, utilizing bamboo as the central focus throughout the interior of the 1,100 SF studio. The actual SF, including the 8 foot wrap around outside cumaru wood deck is 2,200 SF. Interior beams are 5” bamboo with 1” bamboo on the vaulted ceiling. The walls are bamboo slats trimmed with bamboo and the floors are tiger-striped bamboo with cork underlayment.

The grounds at Fish Tree Yoga are as unique as the studio. Visitors park in a wooded 2-acre gated parking area immediately across the street from the main house, a 6,000 SF Victorian house that is adjacent to the studio. As you approach the right side of the main house, you will see the Fish Tree Yoga entrance area. From our signature blue bottle tree to the meditation gardens with beautiful azaleas, you’ll quickly discover the peace and tranquility of our location. Besides the numerous individual sitting areas throughout the meditation garden, you’ll see Magnolias, Crepe Myrtles, Camelias, Palm Trees and acres of organic orchards with everything from blueberries, figs, persimmon, lemon and lime to grapefruit, oranges, peaches, and banana trees. Wildlife is abundant throughout the grounds as well. You will be hard pressed to find another studio center or conference center that offers a full experience like we do at Fish Tree Yoga.
